Introduction
caveman ("we," "our," or "us") respects the privacy of our users ("user" or "you"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, Aflowt (the "Application").
Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application.
We engage in a "privacy-by-design" approach. We do not operate our own servers to store your personal data, nor do we directly collect identifying information such as your name, email address, or phone number.
However, the Application uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you or your device to provide necessary functionality, such as processing payments (donations).
1. Information Collection and Use
Since we do not maintain our own servers, we do not directly collect or store any personal data from you. The functionality of the Application (alarms, timers, routine sharing via links/QR codes) operates locally on your device.
However, to function correctly and provide certain features, the Application utilizes third-party Service Providers. These third parties may collect certain information automatically.
A. Information Collected by Third-Party Systems
We utilize third-party software development kits (SDKs) and services, primarily provided by Google. These services may collect and process the following types of data:
- Device Information: Information such as your device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID), and mobile network information. This is collected automatically by the operating system and third-party services to ensure app compatibility and stability.
- Usage Data and Crash Logs: Data about how you interact with the Application, and diagnostic information in the event of an error or crash. This helps us improve the Application's performance.
- Financial and Transaction Data (For "Donations"): If you choose to support us via the in-app "donation" feature, this transaction is processed entirely through Google Play's billing system.
- Crucially: We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card numbers, bank account details, or sensitive payment information.
- We only receive a transaction receipt from Google confirming that a purchase was made, which may include a transaction ID, date, and the item purchased. This is necessary to validate the transaction and for accounting purposes.
B. Data Related to Sharing Features (Links/QR Codes)
The Application allows you to share routines via generated links or QR codes.
- The data contained within these links or QR codes (e.g., timer settings, alarm labels) is encoded and shared directly.
- We do not store or track the content of the routines you share or receive.
2. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR Compliance)
If you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), our legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described above depends on the personal information concerned and the specific context in which we collect it.
We normally collect or process information from you only:
- Where we need to perform a contract with you (e.g., processing your in-app purchase/donation via Google Play).
- Where the processing is in our legitimate interests and not overridden by your rights (e.g., analyzing crash logs to improve app stability, preventing fraud).
- Where we have a legal obligation to do so.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We cannot control the actions of third parties. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policies of the third-party service providers used by the Application to understand their data practices.
The key third-party service provider used by the Application is:
- Google Play Services & Google Payments: Used for core app functionality, distribution, and processing in-app purchases (donations).
- Link to Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
We may disclose information collected by third parties in the following situations:
- By Law or to Protect Rights: If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others, we may share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation.
- Business Transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Data Retention
Since we do not store your data on our servers, we do not define a retention period for personal data.
Data collected by third-party providers (specifically transaction data retained by Google for legal and accounting reasons) is retained according to their respective privacy policies and applicable laws.
6. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. However, please be aware that no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology is 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Security rests primarily on the integrity of your device and the security measures of the third-party providers (Google).
7. Children's Privacy
The Application is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions like the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you become aware that any child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us, and we will take steps to delete such information from our records (to the extent we have any access to it) or direct you to the appropriate third-party provider.
8. Your Data Protection Rights (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, etc.)
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your data.
Since we do not directly hold your personal data, nearly all requests regarding your data (especially payment data or device usage history) must be directed to the third-party data controller, Google.
If you have questions about how to exercise your rights or need assistance determining who holds your data, you may contact us using the information below, and we will do our best to guide you.
9. International Data Transfers
Our services are global, and the third-party service providers we use (like Google) operate globally. By using the Application, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where these third parties operate. These countries may have data protection laws different from your country of residence.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date of this Privacy Policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
